About CBCT Analysis
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. CBCT allows your specialist to visualize your tooth and surrounding structures in a 3 dimensional manner. Your doctor may use this technology to produce three dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, hard tissues, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan. Some of the benefits of CBCT imaging include, but not limited to: Visualization of blocked canals, evidence of fractures, location of root resorptions, bone thickness, location of important nerve structures, and preparation of implant and endodontic apical surgery.
