An endodontist is a dentist who specializes in saving teeth."

“Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the specialty of dentistry which includes the diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region.”  An oral and maxillofacial surgeon treat problems such as the extraction of wisdom teeth, misaligned jaws, tumors and cysts of the jaw and mouth, and perform dental implant surgery.

"Periodontics is the branch of dentistry focusing exclusively on the inflammatory disease that destroys the gums and other supporting structures around the teeth."  A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants.

Endodontic Therapy

Endodontic therapy includes root canal treatment and retreatment.  Both involve the pulp space within the roots of the tooth.    

Endodontic Micro-Surgery

Endodontic micro-surgery is performed in certain circumstances where endondontic therapy &/or retreatment fails or cannot be performed.

Internal Bleaching

Internal, or non-vital, bleaching is used to lighten a darkly discolored tooth that has had root canal therapy. A chemical oxidizing agent is placed within the coronal portion of a tooth to remove tooth discoloration.

CBCT is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient

Extractions & Orthognathic Surgery

Extractions are performed when your tooth is no longer servicing its purpose in your mouth either due to too much decay, crowding, gum & bone loss, fractures or other issues. Orthognathic surgery is done when your bite is not correct.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants are the gold standard in replacing missing teeth.  We will determine if you are a good  candidate for implants by assessing your bone strength, gum height and aesthetics.  We use comprehensive measures to make sure you obtain the right implant so that an appropriate crown can be placed.

Periodontal Surgery

Some patients have gum disease where regular cleanings are not enough.  A Periodontist may need to perform a surgical procedure to treat periodontal disease and any damage it may have caused.
